Obituary of Celia Anaya

Celia Anaya, 85, of Blue Island, passed from this life Sunday, October 17, 2021. Celia was born August 18, 1936 in Mexico to the late Consuela and Enrique Hernandez. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed gardening, sewing and preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. Celia was a bargain hunter and loved to shop at the thrift stores! Celia was the beloved wife of the late Andres Anaya. She is the loving mother of the late Santiago Anaya, Irene (Eliazar) Lopez, Juana (Ascencion Amador) Paredes, Patricio (Marta) Anaya, Manuel (Maria) Anaya, Martin (Luz Maria) Anaya, Andres (Marta Patricia) Anaya, Alicia Anaya, Tina (Galo) Ortiz, Leticia (Pedro) Chavez, Oliverio Anaya and Maria Anaya. Celia was blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Visitation for Celia will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:00 am at the funeral home, then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery.
