Obituary of Monica Castillo

Monica Castillo, 77, of Blue Island, passed from this life Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital. Monica was born May 4, 1944 in Mexico to the late Carlota Munoz and the late Guadalupe Saucedo. She is the beloved wife of Milipe Castillo. Monica is the loving mother of Sylvia (Carlos) Gonzalez, Maria Luisa (Moises) Rodriguez, Sonia (Juan Rogelio) Rodriguez, Monica (Joe) Cole, Maribel (Ricardo) Gonzalez, Biatriz (Julian) Vallejo, Fidel (Erika) Castillo and Juan (Griselda) Castillo. She is the devoted grandmother of Gabriela, Karla, Natalie, Lizet, Melissa, Anthony, Cynthia, David, Jessica, Jackie, Jeanette, Anakaren, Monica, Alex, Jonathan, Christina, Daniel, Elisabeth, Alyssa, Juliana, Isabella and Leo and the proud great grandmother of Emma, Alexa, Andrea, Liam, Kristopher, Jaelyne, Julissa, Noah, Adrian, Ivan, Angel, Jovanni, Jaiden, Penelope, Aiden and Ariana. Monica is the dear sister of Maria Soledad, the late Domingo, the late Regino, the late Marta, Maria de Jesus, Enriqueta, the late Damiana, the late Rosa, Gloria and the late Guadalupe. Visitation for Monica will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Monday at 9:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th St., Chicago.
