Obituary of Lucio "Nick" Arenas

Lucio "Nick" Arenas, 61, of Blue Island, passed from this life, Monday, August 30, 2021. Lucio was born December 6, 1959 in Blue Island to Mary A. nee Martinez and the late Manuel G. Arenas. Nick was a lifelong resident of Blue Island, attending Blue Island School District 130 and Eisenhower High School. He is employed by Caliber Collision as Auto Body Technician. Nick was an avid fan of all the Chicago Sports Teams. Nick is the beloved husband of Sandra nee Origel. He is the loving and cherished father of Olivia Arenas and Emily Arenas. Nick is the dear brother of Paul (Martha) Arenas, Basilio Arenas and the late Nancy Arenas and the fun-loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory. Visitation for Nick will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Saturday, at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
