Nemeth, 86, of Blue Island, passed from this life Friday, July 30, 2021. Georgia was born December 5, 1934 in Chicago to the late Mary nee Mulderink and the late Frank Nemeth. She graduated from Blue Island Community High School in 1952. Georgia began her secretarial career in 1956 at Standard Oil Company. She then continued with employment with the United States State Department, Washington, DC, Prudential Insurance Company, Blue Island, Trans World Airlines, O'Hare International Airport and then the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Chicago, retiring in 2000. Georgia enjoyed nothing more than spending time with friends and family, especially her nieces and nephews. However she had a passion for traveling ! Her most memorable trip was Egypt, where she saw the Pyramids and the Valley Of The Kings. In the states, her most awesome memory was seeing the Grand Canyon. Her favorite city, outside of Blue Island, of course, was London. Georgia's hobbies included reading mysteries and historical novels and needlepoint. She was a faithful member of St. Philip Lutheran Church and was a member of the Book Club of the church. Georgia was also a former member of the Worth Township Young Republicans in the 60's, TWA Retirees and Prudential POG Retirees. Although she never served in the military, she joked that she used to like sailors! Georgia is the beloved sister of Frank Nemeth, John Nemeth, the late Mary J. Nemeth and the late Ralph (late Nelvia) Mulderink. She is the loving aunt of Nelvia (Ken) Pittman, Scott (Katherine) Nemeth, Sherrill Nemeth, Robert (Mumbua) Nemeth, Georgia Nemeth, Louise Nelson and Paul (Tara) Nemeth. Georgia is the cherished great aunt of Ken Jr. (Jill) Pittman, Kevin (Joann) Pittman, Jordan (January) Nemeth, Jade Nemeth, Denis (Diana) Nemeth, Leah Nemeth, Lainie Nelson, C.J. Nelson, Johnny Nemeth, Finn Nemeth, Daniel (Lauren) Pittman, Kevin Jr. (Jori) Pittman, Kaycee Pittman, Rebekah Pittman and Kendall Pittman. She is dear great great aunt of Ethan Pittman, Gavin Pittman and Aubree Pittman. Georgia also leaves many, many friends and former colleagues to cherish her memory. Visitation for Georgia will be held Friday, August 13, 2021, at the Krueger Funeral Home, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place at Beverly Cemetery.
