Obituary of Isidra Castillo

Isidra Castillo, 99, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, May 17, 2021. Isidra was the beloved wife of the late Jose Castillo, who passed away in 1990. She is the loving mother of Ofelia (Daniel) Ruiz, Maria (the late Jose Isaac) Becerra and Jose Castillo and the "Adopted Mother" of Isidoro Castillo and Reinalda Castaneda. Isidra is the cherished grandmother of Ricardo, Jennifer, Isaac, Alex and Daniel and the proud great grandmother of Araceli, Elizabeth, Ricardo Jr., Evelyn, Isabella, Mario Jr. and Alex Jr. She is dear sister of Damiana Esparza. Isidra was born May 15, 1922 in Mexico to the late Francisca Esparza and the late Miguel Castaneda. She was a devoted homemaker and mother and has been a resident of Blue Island since 1966. Visitation for Isidra will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will be begin Monday at 9:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
