Tomasa Gomez nee Aguayo, 97, of Calumet Park, passed from this life Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Tomasa was the beloved wife of the late Hipolito Gomez, who passed away in 2000. She is the loving mother of Carmen Cenko, Graciela Beruben, Abraham (Marisa) Gomez, Gregorio Gomez, Guillermo (Yolanda) Gomez, Gustavo (Esther) Gomez, Jose Luis Gomez and Raul Sesar (Maria) Gomez and the cherished grandmother of Narubi (James Wilson), late Claudia "Yeya", Guillermo (Yesenia), Sandra (Glen Bersamin), Paul (Lacey), Guillermo G., Adriana, Daniel, Xochitl Valentin, Alexandra, David (Jenny), Anthony and Alex. Tomasa is the devoted great grandmother of Michael (Courtney), Angelica, Nicholas, Brianna, Bella, Sergio, Vivian and Alexa and the proud great great grandmother of Madison. She is the dear sister in law of Guadalupe Aguayo and the fond aunt and great aunt of many. Tomasa was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and her mother-in-law, Maria "Abuelita" Gomez. Tomasa was born March 13, 1923 in Mexico to the late Maria Luisa nee Villegas and the late Abraham Aguayo. She has resided in Calumet Park since 1977. Tomasa was a devoted homemaker and mother and a dear friend to many. Vistation for Tomasa will be held Sunday, February 7, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Pivate interment will take place Monday at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be limited to fifty (50) and monitored, it is requested that you refrain from physical contact. Out of courtesy to all who wish to pay their respects, please keep your time in the chapel brief. Thank you for your understanding, as we all work together during these unsettled times.
