Obituary of Walter J. Moran

Walter J. Moran was 85 when he made his transition HOME Monday January 11, 2021. Born July 7, 1935 in Chicago to the late Walter and the late Erma Moran. He was a United States Army Veteran. Walter later had started a long career at Nabisco " Kraft Heinz" where he worked as a Line Supervisor, Lead Baker and served as Union Steward! One of his many hobbies was bowling. Walter bowled in many leagues alongside his beloved wife Rhoda. Walter was a long standing member of The Apostolic Church of GOD, where he was part of the " Brotherhood Choir". Walter is survived by his beloved wife Rhoda B. Moran nee Jackson and his three loving children, Pam Melton, Derrick Moran and Bryan J. Cheatham. Also his treasured grandchildren, Ledarian Moran and Katherine Davidson and devoted great grand children, Chris Collins, Isaiah Collins and R.J. Davidson. Walter leaves many other family members, friends and his Church family to cherish his memory. A Memorial Visitation for Walter will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm. Cremation was private. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be limited to ten (10) and monitored, it is requested that you refrain from physical contact. Out of courtesy to all who wish to pay their respects, please keep your time in the chapel brief. Thank you for your understanding, as we all work together during these unsettled times.
