To all of you I send a piece of my heart. I shared so many childhood memories with George and his family. I spent many a July vacation at Trelands waterskiing with George or his dad driving the boat. Hot dogs on the fire on one of the flowage islands. Dinners at the Chippawa Inn. Wonderful memories. May George rest in peace. Linda Gordon

After someone has left us you start to remember the little special memories you had about that individual. George always called me his little cousin. When I was younger I occasionally stayed overnight at my Aunt Mary's house. What was neat at the time George had all of the largest Northern fish heads mounted on his wall. When we talked about all the fish that he caught he always talked about Hayward Wisconsin. He said he always wanted to live up there. Well he got his wish, Pat and he moved there.
When I stayed over night the following day we always went bowling. George was the one who taught me how to keep score.
I could keep score but I was a terrible bowler and today I am not much better.
One of the nicest memories I have to this day is when I came home from Vietnam. Aunt Mary and George came over that weekend and surprised me. They were the first relatives to welcome me home. My dad opened up a bottle of Greek wine that he was saving. Everyone had a sip we looked at each other and said what is this it tasted like turpentine. My dad said he got it from a customer who said this delicious Greek wine was served on special occasions. George loved the wine and took the rest home.

Will always remember my sweet neighbor Uncle George. Always there to fill my bike tires with air, set up the tether ball, let me play with his dog and help me climb the cherry tree.
