Obituary of Blanca Rodas

Blanca Rodas, age 99, a resident of Blue Island since 1997, passed from this life and born into eternity on Saturday, August 29, 2020. She is the cherished mother of Blanca C. (Rev. Rigoberto) Ipina and the late Jose A. Rodas. Blanca was a member of the Blue Island Church of Christ and she loved reading the Bible and praying daily. The children and teenagers of the church considered her their adopted grandmother and welcomed her with hugs and kisses. She was filled with a spirit of love and always greeted everyone with a beautiful smile, even the nurses in the hospital. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 2, from 4:00 pm until the time of the evening service at 7:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. A prayer service and last respects will be held Thursday 10:00 am at the funeral home prior to the interment at Beverly Cemetery, 12000 S. Kedzie Ave., Blue Island. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions, all precautions must be adhered to and will be enforced. All visitors must have facial coverings and follow social distancing standards of 6 feet. The number of visitors will be monitored and it is requested that you refrain from physical contact. Out of courtesy to all who wish to pay their respects, please keep your time in the chapel brief.
