Obituary of Robert E. Wilburn

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning how to dance in the rain." Vivian Greene Robert E. Wilburn, 86, of Calumet Park, passed from this life Friday, May 1, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Wilma nee Bossaller, who passed away March 26, 2015. Robert is the loving father of Laurie (Jim) Beamish, David Wilburn and Pamela (David) Bravo. He is the devoted grandfather of Allen Wilburn, Sambath Sun and David Bravo. Robert is the dear brother of Harold (Margie) Wilburn, the late Hazel (late R.O.) Anderson and the late Maryann (late Kinnie) Tanksley. Robert was born September 27, 1933 in Greenwood Mississippi to the late Etta Commela nee Smith and James Wiley Wilburn. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. Robert was formerly employed by General Electric, retiring after twenty-five years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Troublemakers and also of the VFW. A private interment will be held at Beverly Cemetery.
