Obituary of Robert P. Baron

Robert P. Baron, 79, of Blue Island, passed from this life Wednesday, February 19, 2020. Bob is the beloved husband of Diane nee Ziccardi. The couple were united in marriage April 17, 1971 at First Ev. Lutheran Church of Blue Island. He is the loving father of David (Annie) Baron and the proud grandfather of Juliette Baron. Bob is the dear brother in law of Renee (Jack) Feehan. He shared a special love with his fur babies, Fozzy, Molly, GiGi and Wendy. Robert was born December 3, 1940 in Chicago to the late Millie nee Bokowski and Theodore Baron. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran. Bob was formerly employed by the Illinois Central Railroad as an Inventory Analyst. He began his career with the railroad at the age of nineteen and continued for over forty years. Bob was an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying golfing, fishing and boating. He also was on several bowling leagues, hockey teams, and softball teams. Bob was an avid Cubs fan. He enjoyed sitting around a poker table with his buddies and also playing pinochle with family and friends. Visitation for Bob will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
