Obituary of William H. Beals Jr.

William H. Beals Jr., 72, of Oak Forest, formerly of Shawnee, Kansas, passed from this life on January 15, 2020. William was born January 17, 1947 in Chicago to the late Marilyn nee Collins and William Henry Beals. He was the step-son of the late Margaret nee Torres Beals. William was the loving brother of Kurt Alexander (Laura) Beals, the late Karen Lee Beals, the late Keith Allen Beals, Kathryn Ann (Steve) Ingram and Margo Kristine Beals. He is the devoted uncle of Jennifer, Mary, Andrew, Sarah, Michael and Alexander. William is the cherished godfather of Laura (Art) Frausto. William was a US Air Force veteran, serving from August 30, 1965 to January 16, 1969, earning the rank of Sergeant. He was employed as a car man for the Rock Island and Union Pacific railroads, retiring in 2009. William liked to travel, especially to Cherokee, Iowa and Mexico. He had a loving heart for animals and also enjoyed listening to music. Cremation was private. Interment of cremains will take place in March at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
