Obituary of Barbara M. Montet

Barbara M. Montet nee Kicmal, 74, of Oak Forest, passed from this life Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Barbara is the beloved mother of Rochelle (Richard) Dale and the late Roland Christopher Montet. She is the devoted grandmother of Roland, Redmond and Rexford. Barbara is the loving sister of the late David Kicmal, Donald (Mary Ann) Kicmal and Bernadette (Leonard) Ratuszny. She is the dear sister-in-law of Margaret (Paul) DesJardins, Larry Montet and Jerry (Marcia) Montet and the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was born February 17, 1945 in Blue Island to the late Helen nee Partyka and Joseph Kicmal. She was a faithful member of St. Damian Parish and a member of the Womens Club, serving as president for many years. Barbara was also a member of the Oak Forest VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially loved cooking wonderful meals to be shared.

Visitation for Barbara will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Holy mass will be celebrated Saturday. Barbara will lie in state from 1:00 pm until the time of mass at 1:30 pm at St. Damian Catholic Church, 5250  155th St. Oak Forest. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery, Crestwood.
