The first day I met Colleen was in late August of 1954. I was six and she was nine. I was an only child and lonely. To me Colleen was magical. She led me on many adventures and taught me many things. She made me laugh and cry and gave me wings to fly. She has always been in my heart even when we did not see each other for long periods. With her passing, I have lost part of my childhood. I will miss her intelligence, kindness, generosity, and wit. There will never be another like her and the world is sadder for it. With my love, Gwen
