Obituary of Eric J. Ruthenberg

Eric J. Ruthenberg, 70, of Oak Lawn, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, September 24, 2019.  

Eric is the beloved husband of Patricia nee Johnston. He is the loving father of David (Amy) Ruthenberg, Mark Ruthenberg and Molly Ruthenberg. Eric was the cherished son of the late Marjorie nee Stothard and Robert Ruthenberg. He is the devoted brother of Mark (Connie) Ruthenberg, Kirk (Kate) Ruthenberg, Rob Ruthenberg and Kent (Gini) Ruthenberg and the dear uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Eric leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

 Eric was formerly employed by Commonwealth Edison for thirty years as an Electrical Engineer. He was a former player for the "Cougars" softball team. Eric had a fascination with computers and technology. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course!

A memorial visitation for Eric will be held Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the time of memorial service at 3:30 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
