She is the loving mother of Glenn Grozav and David Grozav. Joan is the dear sister of William E. Unyi and James W. Unyi (Melinda). She is the dear aunt of Cathy Hanson, Carol Unyi, William J. Unyi and Christine Unyi and the great aunt of Andrew, Michael, William and Sydney. Joan was formerly employed by International Harvester.
