Tony was one of the finest people I've ever known. I had the good fortune to meet him when we were employed by Cook County School District 130. This is where Tony became a legend and role model for his work ethic, energy, and innovativeness. It was as though he were an artist who created Lincoln School and whose duty it was to ensure it remained perfect. My regret is that I was not able to reconnect with Tony in recent years, but I am grateful and better for having been around him.

Sincere condolences to the Castro family. I knew Tony from working with him at Lincoln school and having his grandchild as a student. Tony was a hard worker, he had many friends here at Lincoln. We missed him when he retired and of course miss him now that he's passed. I pray that the Lord keep you through this hard times and bring peace and joy knowing that Tony was loved and will truly be missed. Mrs. Jones

Slim was a kind and caring man- a good friend of my father, Jerry Calvey. We visited Slim, Alida and family a few times as I was growing up and heard lots of references to them. Slim reached out to us when Dad passed away and I appreciated his caring about our family. May Slim rest in peace. Maria
