Obituary of William Christ Schaflein

William C. Schaflein, 94, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, December 6, 2017. He is the beloved father of Linda (Ron) Pogose, Edward Schaflein, Cheryl (Richard) Dasher and Terry (Lois) Schaflein. William is the devoted grandfather of six and proud great grandfather of nine. He was the dear brother of the late Raymond Schaflein and the late Dorothy Templin.

William was a resident of Blue Island for over sixty years until relocating to Tinley Courts Senior Living.  He resided there for seventeen years and enjoyed the many friends he made there and participating in the various activities. William was a retired skilled bricklayer working in the family business. He was a life member of the Moose. William enjoyed watching football and baseball, but above all was a diehard Cubs fan!

A private interment for William took place at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn.
