I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. During the past several years that I have lived here he would always stop and say hi. He would always come over when I had my garage sales. He was always looking for great stuff for his granddaughter he would tell me. He will be greatly missed! Rest in peace Jim!

Was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I met him at Salem Baptist Church many years ago. I was in Orland Park over the Christmas Holidays and if I would have known he was there, would have made every effort to see him. He and Darlene had lunch and breakfast with my sister and I when we would visit the Chicago area on many occasions. We also met with his friend, Tom Burns, who I graduated with from Calumet High School. Tom, Jim, Darlene, my sister and I all had lunch at the Holiday Inn in Westbrook when Tom & I were there for our 55th high school reunion in 2011. After Darlene passed away, Jim & I talked on and off on the phone.
The last time we talked was probably in October of 2013. He was a dear friend and I will miss talking to him and seeing him when I visit the Chicago area. May the Lord find comfort for the entire family at this time.

My deepet sympathy to you. I was very sad to hear of Jim's passing.I had the great honor and privilege to meet Jim and Darlene in 1968-1970
thru Tommy Bangs. We all went out together a number of times and it
was always so much fun to be with them. He was was of nicest men I
ever meet and they were just a wonderful loving couple. I never forgot them,
they were truly an inspiration. God Bless them and I know they are happy to see each other again.

I only knew Jim for a short time before his passing and have been friends with his daughter & son-in-law for a few years. Just meeting Jim and talking to him for that short period of time made me realize what a big influence Jim had on everyone he met. He was a man that lived a full life and loved his family & friends dearly. I'm sad to not have know him longer and will miss the conversations we had. I was blessed to have been his friend. Thank you Jim, God bless you.

I would see Jim every Thursday at the auto auction in Matteson. He would go out of his way to wait for me and say hi. He never failed to ask about my family. I looked forward to seeing his warm smile! It will not be the same without him! He was a warm, generous and kind soul. My deepest regards to his family

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I met and worked with Jim from 1962 until he retired. My condolences to his entire family. My fondest memory is going to Jim & Darlene's, one evening with my wife in the early 60's , to watch the movie "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock. May they both rest in peace.

My memories of your father and brother are all good.Jim was always glad to see me and also treated me so well! I can't recall all the good good times we had going to motorcycle races (Santa Fe Speedway, Louisville, Muskegon),but Jim was a important part of that! Every time I came to Elm St. Jim and Darlene made me feel like family. I'm forever grateful to know Jim thru his brother Kent and he will always be missed! Now Jim and Darlene can be together and I know Lori and Brady can be proud of what a great person their Dad really was !!

Our deepest sympathies to the Conners and Clay families. You know how special Jim was to our family, and why. He will be terribly missed. We have many good memories of him that we take into our next chapter. So glad he felt comfortable in our home to take naps whenever he wanted. He always had a good story to tell. He was friendly, kind, and accepting. With prayers and love, Mike, Mary Ann, Rosemary, Michelle, and Nicholas Maslanka
