Dear Aunt Ethel and cousins Paul and Kathy: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. My fondest memory of theo Gus was when he gave my mother and I a tour of Chicago. We went on a boat tour of the city and he showed us the museums and the Loop. This was in the 1970's. It has always been my favorite trip and fondest memory of Theo Gus. To me he was Chicago! My mother being the youngest of the six would tell me her fondest memories of uncle Gus was in the 1950's when she came to this country. Uncle Gus had a restaurant and all she would order were ham and eggs and Coke. I remember seeing pictures of Theo Gus in his military uniform. He was so handsome! My aunt in Greece also had these same pictures.
As my late father would say we are all a heartbeat away from seeing God. I know uncle Gus is looking down on us and he is in a place where there is no need, sorrow or suffering. May his memory be eternal! Eonia I Mnimi . Life to you and your families. Goodbye gentle soul we will miss you!
