Leanne Lysholm (née Schwachtgen), 91, of Tinley Park, IL, passed away peacefully at home on April 24, 2026.

Leanne was born on February 21, 1935, in Blue Island, IL, to the late Eugene and the late Elsa Schwachtgen. She is the beloved wife of Richard Lysholm, with whom she has shared over 72 years of marriage.

Leanne is the devoted and loving mother to Dawn, Dru, and Dana (Robert) Boll. She is the cherished grandmother to Kyle (Katy) Boll and Emma Boll, and a proud great-grandmother to Cohen Boll and Brody Boll. Leanne is the adored sister of the late Arline Voss and Neal (Judith) Schwachtgen. She is also a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Throughout her life she was also a loving grandmother to many foster babies.

A dedicated homemaker, Leanne created a warm and loving home filled with lasting memories, especially around her home-cooked meals and time spent with family. In her spare time, she found great joy in creating art. Her most notable piece dates back to her high school years, when she painted a replica of the iconic Iwo Jima image inspired by a Life Magazine photograph. She also enjoyed working with oils, pastels, sketching, and playing the piano by ear throughout her life.

Visitation for Leanne will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, IL. Tuesday, April 28th, visitation will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn.
