Rosaura Rodriguez (née Esparza), age 91, of Blue Island, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Rosaura was born on November 16, 1934, in Zacatecas, Mexico. She carried with her many traditions of her Mexican heritage. Rosaura was a woman of unwavering faith who devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio Rodriguez, who preceded her in death in 2013. Rosaura is the loving mother of the late Bulmaro Rodriguez, Jaime Esparza, Ana Bertha Martinez, the late Lorena Flores, Sonia Rodriguez, Baldemar Rodriguez, Maria Garcia, and Antonio Rodriguez Jr. “Tony”. Rosaura is the cherished grandmother of Veronica, Bulmaro Jr., Mayra, Alexis, Ana Myreya, Erika, Gerardo, Ismael Jr., Yayo, Jaime Jr., Marianna, Xiomara, Marco Antonio, Cristian, Jonathan, Lisette, and Lorena, and the proud great-grandmother of Imani, Solimar, Edoardo, Ayannah, Xcaret, Aidan, Pablo Jr., Ricardo, Myrel, Madelynn, Xavier, and Xander. Rosaura’s love multiplied with each new generation, and nothing brought her greater happiness than gathering her family together. Rosaura was also a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews and leaves behind many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.
Visitation for Rosaura will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, IL. Chapel prayers will begin Monday at 9:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by procession to St. Benedict Church / St. Mary Magdalene Parish for Holy Mass at 10:00 AM, 2339 York St., Blue Island. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Chicago.
