William M. Witt III, age 71, of Merrionette Park, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life on February 17, 2026.

He was the beloved son of the late William M. Witt Jr. and the late Ruth (nee Thornber) Witt. William is the cherished brother of the late Donald Witt and Debra (the late Ira) Cohen. He is a dear cousin to many. William leaves behind many friends and extended family members who will cherish his memory.

William dedicated many years of service throughout his career. He worked at First National Bank of Blue Island, later with Gerber Baby Food, and eventually served as a manager at Jewel-Osco. In his free time, William especially enjoyed visiting Las Vegas, where he enjoyed the energy, entertainment, and the simple pleasure of getting away.

Private interment at Cedar Park Cemetery in Calumet Park.
