Mary Lynn Cressler (née Halstead), age 64, of Calumet Park, passed from this life on January 20, 2026.

Mary was born on September 11, 1961, to the late Micah and the late Colleen Halstead. She is the cherished mother of Sean Halstead, Jason (Christina), Shelly Carroll, and Richard. Mary is the loving grandmother of Sabrina (Cody), Tori, Jason Jr., and Lily, and a proud great-grandmother to Wallace Morales. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers, Mickey Halstead and Jimmy Halstead.  Mary leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Mary devoted her life to her family, proudly embracing her role as a full-time mother. Caring for her children was not just her responsibility, but her greatest joy. Mary’s days were spent nurturing, supporting, and standing beside those she loved. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength to her family. Mary’s memory lives on in those she lovingly raised and cared for.

Visitation for Mary will be on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island.

Cremation will be private.
