Mary Joyce Neibert, age 89, of Romeoville, passed from this life on January 21, 2026.

Mary was born on December 22, 1936, in Chicago to the late Robert and the late Mary McNicholas.

She is the loving mother of Barbara Weiss; Kathleen (David) O’Sullivan; Ronald (Janniece) Neibert; and Diane (Robert) Butler. Mary is the proud grandmother to Timothy Koval, Matthew Koval, Paul Dahlin, James Dahlin, Rebecca Pellicano, Brett Vowell, Aaron Neibert, and William Butler, and a great-grandmother to Tyler Dahlin, Brianna Dahlin, William Dahlin, Ethan Buckley, Remington Pellicano, Lorenzo Pellicano, Ignatius Pellicano, the late Solstice Diane Pellicano, Benjamin Vowell, Vivian Neibert, and Nolan Neibert. Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Reitz, and her brother-in-law, the late James Reitz. She was a dear friend and loved by many.

Throughout her life, Mary gave generously of her time and talents. She was a loving wife and mother to her children.  Mary devoted many years of her life to volunteering at St. Isidore School and Church, where she spent her time serving both the parish and the community. She was always willing to help wherever she was needed, supporting school activities, church events, and parish functions.  Mary also worked for JCPenney in Roseland as well as Jewel Osco in Riverdale.

Private burial services will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chicago.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mary’s memory may be made payable to the Estate of Mary Joyce Neibert.
