Maria Teresa Pimentel (née Zarate), age 84, of Blue Island, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Maria was born on December 4, 1941, in Michoacán, Mexico, to the late Librado and the late Ramona Zarate. She is the beloved wife of Crispin Pimentel and a devoted mother to Aristeo, Hermila Valencia, the late Silvia, Ernesto, Gerardo, Francisco, Martin, and Rodrigo.

Maria is the cherished grandmother to 28 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to many. She was also a loving sister to five siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.

Known for her warmth, strength, and unwavering love for her family, Maria touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Visitation for Maria will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
