John A. Klinker, age 65, of Blue Island, passed away on July 27, 2025. Born on August 28, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the beloved son of the late Bill and the late Helen (née Branson) Klinker.

John was a longtime resident of Blue Island; he proudly served in the United States military and was stationed in Germany. After his military service ended, he returned to Blue Island and worked at the Libby McNeil and Libby Plant where he remained until its closing.  John then pursued a career in transportation as a truck driver. He had a love of all things military, martial arts, and animals.

John is the dear brother of Jim (Jan), Teri (Stephen) McGinnis, and Cathy. Though he was never married and had no children, he will be fondly remembered by family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Legion or to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans.

Cremation is private.
