Obituary of Thomas J. Warszalek

Thomas J. Warszalek, 61, of Calumet Park, IL, passed from this life on May 16, 2025.

Thomas was born January 6, 1964 to Judith (Nowak) and the late Frank Warszalek.  He is the beloved husband of Susan (Wheeler), they were united in marriage for over forty years.  Thomas is the devoted father of Thomas (Barbara).  He is the cherished grandfather of Mary, Francis, and Thomas.  Thomas is the dear brother of Jerome (Marie) and the late Mary Lynn (Safwan) Badr.   He is the loving uncle to Anisa, Amira, Frances, Jack, Jonathon, and Meghan.  He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Thomas was a devoted fan of racing, he found great joy in watching and attending NASCAR events, where he enjoyed the roar of the engines and the thrill of the track. He was also a man who loved the outdoors—whether it was a quiet day of fishing, a relaxing round of golf, or tending to his garden. Thomas was known for his skill at the grill, he especially enjoyed cooking hearty meals for his family.

A Memorial Visitation for Thomas will be held Friday, May 23, 2025 from 3:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 7:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice in his memory.  Cremation is private.
