Vickie Jean Heitz née McPherson, 72, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, August 12, 2024.

Vickie is the dear wife of Joe Heitz. The couple were united in marriage on July 17, 1971. She is the loving mother of Joe Jr. (Melissa) and Jeffrey (Jennifer). Vickie is the cherished grandmother of Ryan, Samantha, Ian, Sophia and Noah. She is the dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Vickie is the adoring sister to the late Gerald McPherson, Debbie Hill, Cindy Sanderson, Brenda Jackson, Susan Green, Pamela Dillon, and Frank Jr. She leaves many other family members to cherish her memory.

Vickie was born on April 2, 1952 in Wood River, Illinois to the late Frank Ellis McPherson and the late Jean Creighbaum. She was an active member of the Evangelical Community Church which included singing in their choir. Vickie was devoted to her family and loved spending her free time with them.

Visitation for Vickie will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 pm, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Krueger Funeral Home. If you would like to contribute in Vickie’s memory, donations to the family are greatly appreciated. Cremation is private.
