So sad to hear of Don’s passing. There are many happy memories to share. Halloween parties when the kids were little with hay rides pulled by Isabelle and pumpkin carving in the garage. Chile cookoffs. Fire trucks. piñatas. One of the best was New Years Eve 1999 when someone (no names) left the fireworks a little too close to the launching pad and everyone had to duck and run for their lives. Don was a great neighbor and friend. He loved the kids and I thank him for being a big part of their cherished childhood memories. We will miss him but remember him fondly.

Our Deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the entire Truschke family. We have so many wonderful memories of Don. From GIGANTIC bon fires, pumpkin pickin parties, boat rides, etc., Don opened his home to host so many wonderful events and created countless wonderful memories for us all. He even allowed our children to hold a surprise 30th Wedding Anniversary party for me & Scot at his home. We will never forget his kindness. I look around my home and see Don’s creative touch through numerous remodeling projects. Don was our “I know a guy” guy. You need something done, Don can do it.
Please know we will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers and Don will be forever in our hearts.
Love,
The Hasman Family
Scot, Maria, Steven & Meghan, Jamie, Alyssa & Eric

Our heartfelt condolences to the Truschke Family. We are so so sorry to hear of Uncle Dons’ passing. We will always remember and cherish what a wonderful and loving Godfather he was to our daughter-in-law Kimberly and such a kind and involved great-uncle to our Grandkids Dylan and Jaymsie. You will be missed. Now grab that fishing pole and head to the most beautiful lake and catch that Big One!

Don, Steve, Rich and Bo were on a lake - but we are not sure which lake this was. Don was in a boat that he made in Steve's garage. Steve's dad helped them each build their own little boats. Don is holding a fish that was caught during the "guys fishing week in Crivitz".

It is with much sadness that we learned of Don's passing. Steve and I have so many wonderful memories that began in our high school years of great times spent with Don and his family. From the weekends in Antioch to the annual fishing tournaments in the fall. He stood up in our wedding, he was the God Father to our son Douglas, and Steve enjoyed working with him for many years. He was always someone that we could count on for help, and just a really wonderful person. We pray that he has found everlasting peace and joy. Love, Steve and Gerry Lippelt
