Obituary of Betty J. Hopkinson

Betty J. Hopkinson, 82, of New Lenox, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, October 21, 2019.

Betty was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert Hopkinson and the loving mother of James (Gloria) Hopkinson. Betty is the devoted grandmother of Alyza and Luke and the proud great grandmother of Azyla. She is the dear sister of Cheryl and the fond sister-in-law of Barbara (George) Machay.

Betty was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of New Lenox for eighteen years. She was dedicated to the Women's League for many years. Betty was an avid outdoor enthusiast and loved cooking as well.

Betty will lie in state Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 N. Cedar Road, New Lenox. Visitation for Betty will continue Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 24,  at 10:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery.
