Obituary of Francisco Licea

Francisco Licea, 49, twenty-six year resident of Blue Island, passed from this life Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Metro South Hospital. Francisco is the beloved father of Francisco (Jenny) Licea, Monica (Jimmy) Gonzalez, Omar Licea, Luis Licea, Cristian Licea, Marissa Licea and Joel Licea and the loving grandfather of Anahiya, Adrian, Avanni, Frankie, Aiden, AJ, Linda, Leilani, late Aubrie, Ariel, Zeke, Adeline and Noel. He is the cherished son of Lino and Irma nee Almeida, the dear brother of Julissa Licea, Araceli (Nick) Boss, Irma (Robert) Santos, Leticia (Ramon) Smith and Catalina Licea and the fond uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Francisco worked as a carpenter, but he was also a car enthusiast.  He loved working on cars, including painting and bodywork and enjoyed going to car shows.

Visitation for Francisco will be held Thursday, September 19, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will begin with chapel prayers Friday, 8:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island for Holy Mass at 9:00 am.  Interment Beverly Cemetery, 120th and Kedzie Ave., Blue Island.
