Obituary of Amelia Canto De Febles

Amelia Canto De Febles, 76, who resided in Puerto Rico and formerly of Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is the beloved wife of Ramon Febles. Amelia is the loving mother of Oscar (Rosa) Canto, Fernando (Maricela) Canto, Diana (Todd Sims) Febles and Nancy (Joseph Carrillo) Febles. She is the cherished grandmother of Oscar Jr., Elizabeth, Victoria, Michael, Antonio, Carlos, Sarah and Laura and the proud great grandmother of Connor, Riley and Aidan. Amelia is the dear sister of Guadalupe Canto, Alfredo Canto and the late Alfonso Canto, the late Manuel Canto and the late Ricardo Canto.

Amelia was the owner and operator of Diana's Bakery in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. Baking was her passion but she also enjoyed  sewing and creating arts and crafts. Amelia was dedicated to working with children. She was a very active member of Iglesia de Dios Mission Board of San Jose, Manati, Puerto Rico.   

Visitation for Amelia will be held Friday, November 24, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, at 10:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. The Rev. Denis Santana, Pastor of Iglesia de Dios Mission Board of San Jose, Manati, Puerto Rico, will officiate. Interment will take place at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Jude's Research Hospital {www.stjude.org}  are greatly appreciated.
