Obituary of Dorothy M. Silhan

Dorothy M. Silhan nee Teschke, 94, of Palos Heights, passed from this life Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Silhan, who passed away April 15, 1998. Dorothy is the loving mother of Carol Silhan and Raymond (Susan) Silhan Jr. and the cherished grandmother of Raymond Silhan III. She was the dear sister of the late Irene Teschke and the late Arthur Teschke. Dorothy was formerly employed by Moraine Valley Community College in the Research Department. She was a faithful member of The Ev. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and formerly served as the president of the Chancel Guild. Visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Ev. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 W. McCarthy Rd., Palos Heights. Dorothy will lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn.
