Obituary of Pearl A. Steinweg

Pearl L. Steingweg nee Baarson, 103, of Palos Park, formerly of Blue Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Steinweg, who passed away May 24, 1976. The couple were united in marriage in 1944. Pearl is survived by one brother, Olgar Baarson and one sister Myrtle Gerdes. She is the life-long close friend of Patricia (the late William) Hopf. Pearl is the loving godmother of Cathi (Bernard) Kay and the cherished friend of Bernard Kay Jr. and Ashley Kay. She is the dear friend of Bradley Vinson, Claudia (Ken Kalafut) Hopf and Bill (Diana) Hopf. Pearl was a faithful member of Mission Covenant Church. She was formerly part owner and operator of Betty Herman's Clothing Store in Blue Island. Pearl volunteered for many years at St. Francis Hospital. Visitation for Pearl will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 noon at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island.
